Sharing this image I captured this on one of my summer trips to the Sierra. This spot is about a 3.5 mile/2,500 ft gain hike from the trailhead. I started around 3:45am and just made it in time for sunrise. When I arrived at the lake outlet the normal crossing log was washed out and the stream was a bit too swift and high to safely ford so I ended up having to cross in the lake thigh-deep near the outlet.

5DSR, 16-35 f/4 IS L, .75 GND. Two exposures blended for dynamic range.
