My favorites are 2, 6, and 12. One aspect that I like is the slight space allowed above the subject in these. The very tight cropping in some of the others I find takes my attention away from the subjects to a degree. I do enjoy the color in the second and the character of your subject. Nice that he is facing into the scene and his vivid outfit really helps him pop. I do enjoy the 'folks looking at their cellphone' motif and this one is pretty hilarious. Nice sequence of poses and the dog is priceless. The selective color choice is just insanely right on. The 12th is a classic, perhaps even standard, composition but some types of images are popular for good reason. You satisfy my preference for breathing room and the little bit of blue upper right works against the general rule to keep distracting edges at bay.

Quite a few of these seem absolutely inundated with noise. despite being in (seemingly) ample light. Were the exposures off? Shooting on film?

noise is high because I shot with a 1/1000 shutter so that I could capture people while walking.

actually it's not sharpening because of the non-pronounced sharpening halos. Rather, on some of the black/white images I grunged them up in post. But I get it's not to everyone's taste.

Is it oversharpening or is it some kind of intentional pp texture?

Thanks for explaining the reason for noise. I does help in commenting. If your intent was as described, and it was..excellant series! NR is a tool. Some prefer not to use it and that is fine. IMHO does not degrade from the image when explained.
