This is beautiful! Love the tonality of the polygons vs the colors in the sky. Given the slight blur in the clouds - I assume a longer exposure - which works well. May I ask when was this taken? Thanks

A beauty, Vieri. I really like how you handled the foreground.
Thank you very much! I find Badwater really beautiful and inspiring, but at the same time all these polygons can be overwhelming so I tend to find "the polygon of my dreams" and work on simplifying my compositions... glad you enjoyed it!

Excellent image from a heavily photographed site. Nice to see that is it still possible to find ways to produce interesting artistic images there.
Dave
Thank you very much Dave for your very kind comment, much appreciated indeed! It is always a challenge to go and photograph such famous locations, I find it very stimulating but one can definitely feel some pressure as well

Thank you very much Todd, I am glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the exposure for this was 5 minutes, clouds weren't too fast... I took this last winter, end of January, which is my favourite time to go to DV

Beautiful photo. Those salt polygons are ever changing. I would say this looks more like a sunset to me though. ;-)
Thank you very much Ben! Yes of course it was a sunset - brain shorted when I posted it I guess, thank you for that, it is now fixed One of the reasons I love Badwater is exactly that, the fact that it is an ever-changing landscape, that you never find twice the same polygons... beautiful!

Wow! Great shot Vieri.
Out of curiosity how close to the ground was your camera? 15cm? Did you focus stack?
I'm heading to Black Rock Nevada on Friday for a high power rocket launch. I'm planning to take some similar shot of the playa while I'm there.
Thank you very much Chris, glad you liked it! I was low, but i couldn't say how much exactly; no focus stacking, with the 15mm you don't really need to do that.
