Finally got to do an Urban Portrait Series session with a Joffrey dancer, and now am getting ready to schedule a couple more for this fall. Here's my favorite shot from our session at Cantigny Park. Lit with two Yongnuos using high speed sync.
Ron, your work is always varied and amazing. I like to see it because it isnt the same type of processing as some others on the forum utilize. Your work/processing varies and that is what makes me want to look at it on the forum. Great Job!
Great shot, Ron. A couple of questions about your flashes: where did you place them (and how far away), and did you fire them at full power (modded or not)? I assume her front would have been in substantial shadow without them, maybe even silhouette. Can you comment on this?

Thanks, Herb. I envision each photo shoot as unique, and thus the editing of each image as unique as well. Hopefully, that keeps my images pretty fresh.
Going into downtown Chicago two days in a row starting today, first with a hip-hop dancer, and then a ballerina from L.A.

Of course, Steve. This is the dancer that I was talking to you about as I was getting ready for it. I had two Yongnuos on a stand about 20 feet in front of her, slightly camera right. No mod, but I was spraying the flash wide for fill. Probably 1/2 power, pretty strong as I was shooting right into the setting sun.
Really appreciate your help on this, mainly just listening to me.
