p.1 #1 · Sony A9(?) in the White House

If I had been drinking my coffee while watching the news this morning before heading off to work, I think I might have spit it all over the table in front of me when I saw this. A photographer in the White House shooting with, what appears to be, a Sony A9 with the 70-200mm f/2.8. I have not yet seen any adoption of the A7/A9 series of cameras by the professional press corp, so this is great to see one, at work, in the hands of a photo journalist. I wonder if anyone around him said: "Hey, I don't think that camera is working because I can't hear the shutter!"

The shutter sounds from the press corp's Nikons, Canons and errrr iPhone, would have drowned him out anyway !

Covering the president with the A9 makes perfect sense. The grip is designed for people with smaller hands.
