Wish I hadn’t sold my beautiful, mint copy for $500 here last summer 😩. It had just a slight haze on a small area of the rear element. I panicked and sold because I was worried that it would get worse and I’d be stuck with a lens that I couldn’t sell.
If it’s not too early to start making a wishlist for next Christmas, I’d love for Zeiss to introduce modern (Loxia?) versions of the CV 35-70, 100-300, and a new wide zoom, say, 16-28mm or so.

I heard back from the place in regards to fix the haze issue on the 100-300. The particular one I was looking at has haze that affects the rear element. The guy said $150 to fix and re-cement.
When I get back from my trip, I may buy one and get it fixed. In the end, one doesn't save much money over a good one, but knowing there is someone out there talented enough to fix these is great!

I made an inquiry with Zeiss about 11 months ago about servicing the CY 100-300, and this was the response I received:

Received the Leitax mount today. Pretty nifty. Have it mounted on my good copy of the VS.
Will be sending the hazed copy to Taiwan for repair in the next day or so. Should have it back in ~30-45 days.

Just an update on my "lens journey": according to the tracker, my lens has been delivered to the repair lab in Taiwan already at the end of December, but for now no news from them (notwithstanding I've asked them to send me a confirmation when they would get it).
So at least communication at the moment is a bit iffy, let's see how it pans out..
