These birds are top on my list of most wanted to photograph. Congrats on what must have been an amazing experience to witness such intimate moments between parents and young. The first pic is fantastic. One of the better loon photos I have seen. I just love the way the baby is staring out from under the wing.
These are just spectacular, Jason! Really well done on the technicals, and you captured some nice moments in great light and perspective. I'll vote for it!
Just excellent shots. We have the adults in our local harbour through winter and into spring.
They are around for a short while in breeding colours but I'm told they head inland to fresh water to nest.

Awesome set Jason. I'm jealous you have two chicks to watch, last year my family had two but only one around this year. Are these all the same family?

I think you nailed capturing the moment in #4, as the chicks play while mom keeps a look out, perfectly & great timing on #5.

Thank you Greg. My 8 year old daughter helped me cull through these as she has a better eye for the cute ones.
