I was sitting in my living room enjoying a beer and watching a nice summer storm when all of a sudden my wife says "wow, look at the light over there!" The sun had broke through the clouds and started a pretty nice show. I quickly grabbed my bag and I hoped there was enough time to find a spot to capture it, and thankfully I ran into this barn along the way!
The light on these is pure magic... so happy for your that your partner recognized that the sky was lighting up. While I like them both, the first is truly stunning!
My wife is definitely a keeper, funny enough when I returned home I noticed that she place my half full beer in the fridge for me to keep it cold.
Craig, I do believe that there is a sign for Papillion on the interstate but the town itself is not directly on it. It's fairly small (20K population) and considered a suburb of Omaha.
Don't you hate that feeling when the light is perfect and you're not exactly where you want to be? Or worse, the light is perfect and you know will only last for a few minutes and your camera is 30 minutes away at home?
Superb images here! The colors and the light are perfect. Nicely done with the barn.

Thank you for the compliments, and I never run faster than when I'm trying to get rush to a spot while the light is fading!
