This tree is normally just a spec when shot from Steptoe Butte so I thought I'd switch things up a bit and give it a closeup. 24 shots stitched together for a total size of about 120 megapixels. A7r and Zeiss Loxia 21/2.8. Enjoy!
Beautiful pic! Still not sure how you stitched 24 shots together. Are they overlaid with a software like Photomatix or another kind? Also, What is the Palouse? What lens did you use to get the Milky Way to curve? Sorry about all the questions but this photo has piqued my interest.
Nice use of the tree there. I do like it except for each end of the Milky Way where it is so bright. For my eyes, it really distracts my eyes. Even if that was natural light, I would darken both of those ends so that the eye could focus more on the Milky Way itself.
