Thanks for the info!
Based on the more detailed links in the spreadsheet, it seems adapting may go well for me. The Sigma 50/1.4 and 70/2.8 Art lenses, which I also own, both seem to perform very well on GFX, and the CV 40/2 performance is perfectly reasonable in my eyes. I am a touch concerned about the mega thick sensor stack, so I'll do some more research on that before I commit to anything.

A good Kent Faith adapter is cheap. Just get adapting and see what you can tolerate and what you can't, everyone has different ideas about what an adapted lens should be able to do.

I am thinking of getting a GFX 100S II body + EF adapter.

Would anyone have a compatibility list of EF lenses with details on how bad vignetting is?

Also how's the AF response time and focus accuracy?

I am thinking of adapting the

- EF 800mm f/5.6
- EF 600mm f/4.0
- EF 500mm f/4.0
- EF 400mm f/2.8
- EF 300mm f/2.8
- EF 200mm f/2.0

Fellow EF 200mm f/2L IS USM owner here...

How's the AF response time, focus accuracy and vignetting on GFX 100S II?

Late last year Fuji loaned me a GFX 100s II and although I no longer have any of the above I still have my 200 f1.8 and it was excellent, the AF speed was slower than on my R5 and I don't know how it would be for action but it did acquire focus quickly and was accurate. I was using a Fringer adapter. Vignetting was fine.

Although he hasn't posted in a long time, Peter Figen mentioned that rear baffle on the big whites caused extra vignetting and he had removed the baffle with a much better result.

Since my GFX 100s II isn't a speed demon with any lens I find the speed totally acceptable. Vignetting when corrected with the Fringer adapter is also not an issue. At the very edges it's not resolving sharp detail but it is resolving well beyond the FF region. All in all, one of my favorite lenses adapted to the system.

Has anyone tried the LLL Elcan 50mm f2 on the Fuji GFX? This table shows that it covers the entire sensor without vignetting. I have this lens, but I can only try it when the adapter for my GFX 50S II arrives.

I just tried the LLL Elcan at home, I had not the time to make some real world tests with it, I just had a GFX for a couple of days so I’m just lost for now.
It is not the worst lens I did put on the GFX but it does vignette at long distances but not at closer ones.
I had hoped it would do better, I have that list too but I take it with a grain of salt because I tried a few lenses that should be ok and it’s not always as great as it should be. Or maybe the list just points at the less worse of the bunch, I’m new to the system and don’t know exactly what to expect.

I got my camera today (GFX 50S II). I can't shoot yet, I'm waiting for adapters for Leica and Nikon lenses. I want to try the Summicron-R 50mm f2, the examples below (not mine) show that it produces a decent picture on GFX cameras. I also ordered the Mitakon 65mm f1.4.

Yikes, for my taste that really does not cover the frame well. I find the corners distracting and even the edges where the color change of the yellow backhoe is pretty dramatic. The differences in sharpness across the frame are pretty big too even for posting at web size. I think this is an interesting lens on full frame, but for me not something I would want to use on 44mm X 33mm.

Yeah, it does not work as well as I thought it would, I had read it was quite ok on GFX but even I with my strange tastes do not like it much on that camera.
My Heliar 50mm 1.5 does a better job to my surprise with very little falloff but you wouldn’t like it either, it is quite smeary toward the corners although the light is more evenly distributed on the frame.

How do you like it on the GFX, it looks like there is a bit of vignette though the performance is still there.
