My granddaughter Nina just completed her Dance Recital week ( 5 shows ), I'll be posting my favorite shots later this week after I finish going thru all of them, BUT, I wanted to share these with you.
On the first night, I was able to capture Nina's first "High Kick" right at the peak, just liked I planned, so I crossed that off my list for the rest of the shoots. On Saturday afternoon, after reviewing the shots from the afternoon dance, I came across a really unique shot of Nina, in the air, with her legs extended almost straight out from her, it really looked nice, BUT, I really wasn't sure where it came from, I reviewed the tape that I had made during one of their rehearsals, and I really didn't quite see where she did that. You know they say, sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees!!! When I asked Nina about it over dinner, she said, Oh yea, that's right before I do my leg kick, DUH!!!!!
So going into Sunday's final dance, I though it would be nice if I could capture her for that second or so, right before the "High Kick" to see all the little steps she was going thru to get there. These are the results of that experiment, I know she's thrilled with them, to me, that's all that counts
Appreciate any C&C, I apologize for some many shots. but in real time it was just about a second or two.
Thanks, Bob
Bob, just love seeing this sequence and how you strategized to pull this off! Great sequence, and No. 14 provides a terrific ending shot. Definitely has my vote for FTOW!!
