Hello Forum,
I spend a weekend camping and exploring deep into the Right Fork of North Creek in Zion. There are a series of waterfalls near the east end of the canyon. You can bypass one after another with some bouldering and scrambling until finally reaching Barrier Falls. Barrier Falls is aptly named because it's impossible to bypass. But all the waterfalls below that are wonderful.
This waterfall is the first one under Barrier Falls. It has no name . . . yet. The colors are accurate. The pool at the base really is blue, deep, cold and clear. My composition here is clearly trying to have great DOF with flowers in the foreground and the cliffs with lone pine far distant. I used 3 shots with different focus points (near, mid, far) and combined them in PS for an image that is sharp everywhere. Also shot using a small aperture.
I should have taken a picture of all the scrapes and scratches all over my legs this day. It was hard to reach this point and I was very sore. 3 weeks later and fully recovered, I can enjoy the memory.
Nice. I was there a couple weeks ago. I hiked Subway, Angel's Landing, Overlook, and Emerald Pools. Glad I hiked the Subway - crowds at the main canyon were awful.
Thanks ben for your comment and vote.

What a great image. Lots to like & take in here
Thanks for posting

It's a pretty busy picture, i.e. lots to take in. Yes. But I hope it wouldn't be too much. This is really a pretty spot and I hoped to capture that.

Thanks Keith. My efforts just about killed me but I'm glad I took the effort.
Take care.
Very nice. I was up there a few years ago, and it was a peaceful, solitary, and at times challenging hike, but with a sweet reward, and you've captured it beautifully. Love how the flowers sweep through the image and meet the line of the cliffs all the way to the upper middle. Well seen.
Beautiful image, nicely done.
Another area that I've been getting ready to do,
Thanks for this image.
Now that your healed what's next?
Lynn
Hi Lynn,
This canyon is not an immediate payoff with scenery. After several hours, the views are special, all yours and it's very peaceful. You'll like it.

Thanks Bart. This corner of Zions makes me feel more like an explorer in a park that has no other people. It's quite a change from the main canyon.
