I will have the 28, 58, might look into 105 in the future.
I had all three at one point. The 58mm started collecting dust when I got the 105mm. Every time I wanted to do portraits it was the 105 I picked up. It has the character and sharpness when wide open. Now I use a 28, 50 1.8S, and the 105. I have the 85 1.8S and I still leave that lens behind and take the 105 with me.
If you're going to own all three at some point, I recommend you start with the 105 first.

I already had the 58mm. I have a 28mm coming soon. I will eventually see how I like the 105 but wanted the 28 more than 105 at the moment (can't get both just yet). I've always been a zoom person (currently have 14-24, 24-120, 80-400) but finally trying to do primes.
@Ssj92 If you love the rendering of the 28 and 58, I would definitely suggest making the 105 your next purchase. All three are amazing lenses and a fantastic fit with each other (nice separation in focal lengths plus all having a special and consistent bokeh look).
Regarding the 58mm vs 50mm f1.8S, I also have the 50mm and it's optically impressive.....it just doesn't produce images that fit with the theme of the 28 and 105 as much as the 58mm f1.4g in my opinion. Despite being close in the focal range to the 58mm, it's just a very different lens.....very sharp, clean and tidy vs the more imperfect but artistic character of the 58mm.
I currently have 24, 35 and 58/1/4G lenses and have always preferred the 24-35 combo at the wide end, but also liked a few 28mm. This thread has got me thinking to add the 28E when I get the chance.
You can't compare because the Z lens equivalent doesn't exist. I have a 28mm 2.8 Z lens to carry me through but I hope this lens gets its true Z equivalent in a few years.

Isn't that exactly what Ludvig said?
I'm sorry! Please don't get me wrong with this. I mean that I can't use 28/2.8 Z because this lens is far far far far away from 28/1.4E. And I even don't hope that Nikon are planing to produce something adequate to it in near future.
