Nice portrait. I was taking a senior session one time and a family had me take their picture when the senior was changing. I've used a 300 f2.8 for portraits, but typically more headshotish pics. It does happen that random people ask for pictures...
your out shooting landscape and some cute chick asks yo to take her picture. what are you supposed to do? and run for the hills? nothing funny about it.

I'd quickly tell my wife I'd never seen this person before and then run for the hills.
Hi Adam very nice picture with the colours and tones. I guess I'm the only one who finds that hand in the hair distracting. Too many childhood hours watching the Adams family and that stray hand called "The Thing" wandering around.

If I was single I'd begin an epic photoshoot.
lol. well, this is a portrait forum. I'd venture a guess that most togs on here have shot females before. that doesn't mean they're having affairs with them. some random female? well, clients unknown to them also ask for scheduled portrait sessions, and a lot of those are females. she probably just took advantage of the fact that the OP was sitting around waiting for the right light. hey it happens man.

It would almost seem inconsiderate of people to ask like that. But a couple times, people have offered to pay, which was respectful of them. When it has happened, however, I never really minded. And in this case, I got some nice images for my port, as well as made a new friend, which is nice.

Thank you, dakel. I didn't consider the hand. I have quite a few other images though without it.
Beautiful image Adam but as an FYI, Valley of Fire is a Nevada state park. Those of us who are old enough to have a US National Park senior pass still have to pay the $8.00 and it is well worth it.
