Wow is that huge! The benefit would be that I could use a window squeegie to clean mist off it when photographing waterfalls.

It's big since it's an adapter for 145mm filters but other alternatives for this lens are even bigger. (and heavier)

I was playing with the new Wonderpana adapter and I agree it's a bit cumbersome. One must un-mount the lens to attach/detach the adapter and that's definitely inconvenient.
