p.1 #1 · Trogons, just trogons!

One of the most representative bird families in the neotropics is the Trogonidade family.
This group is also represented in Asia but I have never been there, all I know is that there are some pretty cool trogon species there!
All pictures show only males, females are a bit less colourful. All pictures taken in Costa Rica except for the masked trogon which I shot in Ecuador.

Yes Geoff, sometimes birds simply disappear!
It happens to me all the time but I keep visiting their territories and sometimes I get lucky.
