Whoa, Mono in style.......Just love the bottom third of this highly detailed piece from front to rear.
Sure glad to see the lake recovering.

Mono looked great after a strong winter with lots of snow. I wished the waters were calmer but we can never have it all.
I will try again in November.

This is a beautiful image. And, I think the clouds really made it look great. The sharpness of rocks is great, though, I'd try to make the middle rock less sharp to imitate the depth (it's further away and there's more air between you and it). But, that's just my approach to simulate the depth. The shot still looks good the way it's rendered. Lenticular clouds sure are photogenic. What exactly is SR app? It's not focus stacking...
Thanks for the feedback Greg! The SR app basically takes a bunch of images and average them into one RAW file in-camera. It mimics a ND filter (I don't use them anymore) and improves SNR (better shadow noice) substantially. It's like shooting at ISO 12!

Stunning photo Fred. I love how the flying saucer shaped clouds, complement the alien looking landscape.
Kelly
Yeah. it really feels alien.
It's what attracts me to this location.
Thanks Kelly. - Fred

I can achieve exactly the same thing in Photoshop Fred. You know how, right? And, it works incredibly well for night shots.

Greg,
Yes, it can be automated in Photoshop but depending on the number of captures, it may be time consuming in post. The beauty of the app is that the averaging (mean mode) is done in real time and the result is a single RAW file. It's just very convenient and a must have imo.
I've posted a thread about it here: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1403764
Take care,
