These pics are from a couple of months ago. I was in Bodega Bay waiting for a male northern harrier to fly by when I spotted this young female bobcat in the dunes adjacent to the mudflats. I had never seen one in this area and was taken by surprise. The action happened so fast that all I could do was point, spray and pray, and hope for the best. Since this spotting of the bobcat she has been seen several times and she appears to be thriving on gulls and quail. This happened during the World Series, hence the file names
Super series. Great documentation. The kind of opportunity the rest of us dream about. Good thing that you were prepared for a flying bird--it worked well for a leaping cat.
IMO these images are well worth some final polishing in post processing--adjusting the exposure, whites, framing, etc., but they are wonderful in any case.

Excellent series, that must have been quite something to witness.
Thanks Louie. I missed some of it from shutter blackout, but that just happens sometimes.

If that is "spray and pray" I would say your prayers were answered. Excellent action shots!

It was the only thing I thought of it happened so fast after I first saw her. But I will take it!

Thank you jdc562 for your comments and suggestions. I will revisit then again in LR & PS since my pp skills might be a little better now.
