Someone mentioned such an ugly picture, so here it is. Single shot. I took a few for focus stack but need to do that. Taken in Petaluma, CA, which is north of SF. Lots of cows, chickens. Would like to revisit this spot.
Ibis is magic on the 100s. Hence must be similar or better on the 50sii. Have to try the 50sii.

Some IBIS magic with the 50S II and 45/2.8. It wasn't only extremely dark, but the sodium lamps forced me to use 1560K WB, which isn't kind on noise.

A couple of images from the summer that I took after dusting off my (now) old and trusty 50s. :^)
Jon
The second one is pure magic! Well done.

That's a pretty impressive outcome handheld at 1/6th of a second.
Yeah, but it's actually a bit unsharp in full resolution. I was mostly testing the limits, and since I think I have pretty steady hands, I can get away with silly slow shutter speeds now with IBIS. But for some sort of consistent sharpness all the time, I'd probably have to cut it to 1/15 or so with the 110. However, one reason it works so well is most likely the weight of the lens, which is self stabilizing. Unless you try to hold it for too long.

Thanks. There was a lot of trial and error with that one, and mostly the latter.

I think you're splitting hairs here! That image at 1/6 of a second with any other non-IBIS camera (mine!) would look like a Jackson Pollock painting. We're forgetting where we came from too quickly with some of these latest advancements in camera technology. :^)

The versatility of the GF 120 macro shows in these 3 images. This lens is on my 50s a lot more than I expected it would be when I bought it.
Yes, I do see the similarity, and nice image! We are at opposite ends of the continent, but we get the same look with the sun hanging over the ocean. Unfortunately for me, I've got to wake up long before sunrise to see it here. :^) This lens handles being pointed at the sun very well. No serious artifacts or flaring.
