Finally, flower time has arrived - the first real opportunity to use the GFX for something other than tests and indoor stuff! I visited a botanical garden yesterday, and I was apparently in a panoramic frame of mind since I did little else. I don't miss shooting film, but I've certainly missed the ability to properly compose panoramas with my 617 bodies...until the GFX arrived. My one regret is not getting it sooner.

Beautiful! Great use of a great lens: the Mamiya 80mm f/1.9. Mine's on its way from Japan, due soon.
Have you considered extension tubes or the like?

Joe
Thanks! I was at the limit of close focus for some of the shots that I took yesterday. I did look at Mamiya extension tubes when I got the lens, but decided that I'm ok as-is with the variety of dual-element diopter lenses that I have, along with Fuji's native 18mm and 45mm tubes. Next time, I'll probably pull out some of those if I want to get closer.
I do wish that Fuji made a shorter one; I wrote to them awhile ago with a suggestion for an 8- or 10mm tube, which would work well with the 23mm and 32-64mm lenses.
