This is my first planned Milky Way photo using PhotoPills and Photographer's Ephemeris, both of which I'm still learning. I scouted this location for shooting during Feb. new moon, which didn't happen due to bad weather, but March 4th was perfect. I captured the GPS coordinates using the Garmin Foretrex 401. Photo was made using the Fuji X-T2 with Rokinon 12mm and processed in LR and CC6. I welcome your comments and critiques. Thank you.

You did a great job. Well done.
Usually light pollution is a negative, but it's ok here.

Thank you David.
The light you see within the trees is one of those dust-to-dawn lights on a pole that lights a camping area. It wasn't that bright, but wow a light light goes a long way. Also, the light at the horizon, so to speak, is coming from a little town.

Yeah I like the light pollution here. It makes it look like the forest is on fire and the Milk Way is the smoke rising up. Great shot!
Thank you!

Nicely done. The Samyang lenses are super for this and did really well here. Nice comp too. Sounds like the apps worked well for you.
Nicely done and framed. You also might want to look at another app, called PlanIt for Photographers, it is on ios and android, it works really well and can also show you when and where the Milky Way is located. I find it very useful for me and nighttime photography.
