Thanks, Doug. One of the reasons I post here is so other photographers can look my images over with a different perspective than my own. I often miss things. Don't get me wrong, I love the pats on the back, but I also really appreciate the feedback. I'm not always going to agree with a critique (differences in styles, whether editing or photography), but often I do.
Excellent job. Do consider that excellent tonal editing example.
Also, if printing, I would crop the top right above her toe tip. It will accentuate the height and draw your eye up more than the negative space imho.

Thanks, Guy! I've struggled in the past in finding the right B&W tones, so I'm pretty happy with this.
The arm was saturated, but comparing the images, I'm not sure a lot was lost. I think I every so slightly like it better with the saturated arm, but I don't have any complaints with the re-edit.
Thanks, Dave. In the shot itself, the arm isn't blown out. I lost the arm in the B&W conversion, went a little too heavy in the tones. Maybe it's time I re-edit?
It's not letting me add this to the OP, so I'll just add it here. Here's my re-edit based on feedback. The shadow on her arm, I pulled from her lower leg and then contorted it to match her arm.
You just receive my vote for feature thread! You work is awesome! I photograph a young ballerina recently. It was challenging and fun, but nothing like this. Thanks for sharing.
Besides the beautiful use of light, you nailed the pose, expression, and composition. Definitely one of those moments to be proud of Ron. Thank you for the inspiration.
