Thanks Morris, the lions here are often seen resting in trees and not that unusual, just not large males 
There are areas such as QEII National Park/Uganda and others where this behaviour has been witnessed, they like to climb and rest as it's often cooler in the hotter parts of the day and the flies are less bothersome also.
