p.2 #1 · Foot for the Canon 400mm DO II

Geoff I would not even attempt to stand it up with the heavy glass. It barely did the 400. I think the 200-400 would be a big issue which it also fits. I would say that is a fail in the design. Just as a hood not to bad. Another note you need two hands to put it on and take it off.

p.2 #2 · Foot for the Canon 400mm DO II

I need a low profile foot for the 400mm F4 DO MKII , I know this is an old post but I was wondering if anyone has tried the Hejna Low Profile foot…

http://www.hejnarphotostore.com/product-p/h133.htm

Also would it possible to reverse the hood with a low profile Lens Foot ?

Thanks

I have the RRS LCF-52 on mine and I use it with the hood reversed to hold it all the time.

Ha Ha well that will work with a Zemlin Hood, what about a standard hood. I’m asking about a low profile foot. 😂

Just FYI

I used a 4th Generation Designs Canon 500F4 lens which I had surplus, I purchased some longer screws and 3d Printed a spacer which allowed me to reverse the hood.

Sorry can’t attach a photo, PM me if you want to have a look.
