My tastes have been changing a bit (away from the soft, even lighting I've been shooting for the past 8 years) so I've been letting my style change with them. Here's a new set with some of that harder light!
I especially like 3 and 4 here, and I like this new direction of yours.
While it may be just a matter of semantics or our own personal definitions, but these to me just aren't at all hard lighting. For me, hard lighting creates dark shadows, and some of these hardly have shadows at all, such as 3 and 4. 2 is close to it but I don't see any truly black blacks in that shot. It's pretty high key to me. But like I said. that just may be the way I look at it and I may be completely wrong. It's all subjective anyway.
But more than anything, just wanted to say this was my favorite group of shots from you in a long time. Really like what you're doing here.
