I recently got together with a friend and her little girl and we did a 1950's inspired shoot at a local diner downtown. I do not normally shoot indoors so this was something totally new for me, and so much fun too! Thanks for looking!

I've responded here to a couple of your earlier photo essays. And now this one with a solid half-hour of personal attachment to this precious effort at historic revival. And back and forth scrolling thru the above series as more recall of that period struck me.

Not least, again, is the exquisite mastery of your camera that makes this possible, dear lady!

Please get that coffee-table volume published before I pass on!

Just another killer set, Lisa, and I like this whole concept idea and the delivery on it. The little girl pulls off Shirley Temple so nicely, and Gabriel pulls off a young James Dean quite well! The first one is the killer shot, but they're all amazing!

I rarely can pick a favorite from your posts but the first color shot after the B&W's is amazing. The two children really open up and the little girl on the edges of her shoes is simply heartwarming.

All so beautifully done ...

As I scrolled through the 1st four, I'm thinking "where are the milk shakes"? Sure enough, there they were! These are all great, however my eye is really drawn to the B&W's. Thanks for posting.

This is a hard comment to compose. Lisa, you're so good and the quality of your work is so consistent, and we should all respect your decisions to stick with what you most enjoy. Nevertheless, more than a few of us imagined the breadth of how your talent could be applied. That sucks, sort of. Again, it's your gift and power to wield as you choose. Our sideline spectator commentary falls a distant third to what you and what your clients are interested in.

That said, my eyes and heart danced as I looked over these images.

Stylistically very different and yet all Lisa. Brilliantly conceived and executed, all Lisa. A flexing of your might, all you little sister.

I'm not sure if it sucks that I've wanted to see you do something different or if it sweetly speaks of my admiration of your eye and heart and all I imagine is within you.

None of my business but flame, meet moth. I like you and your stuff.
