Awesome details and colors; just cropped a little bit too tight for my taste. I hope you don't mind my saying that. Was that the same bird that brought in different preys each time? Nice catch for both the bird and you though and I love the first one !

Joshua, it is two birds bringing food to the nest.
the nest is in a termite mound in a tree.
The adults don't 'sit' once the eggs hatch, the parents just ferry food
all day long to the hatchlings. the termites maintain the correct temperature.

beautifully done, max. it is so rare to capture these in flight. I second Joshua's suggestion re: the tight crop.

Very good indeed,

They are called kingfisher, but there is no fish in the menu?

Thanks everyone.
Jarmo, you are right, there are no fish on the menu.
the parents are feeding spiders, centipedes, beetles, stick insects, catepillars, crickets dragon flies.
not many fish around here (drought)
cicadas are too large for the young to swallow, but an adult bird can swallow one (just).

#2 is my favorite, but it looks too purple. I think if you adjusted the white balance it would be even better.
