It was taken last October when we have planned our Smoky Mountains and Blue Ridge Fall Color chasing trip. Although it was a historical dry month of October, lower flow level can also yield spectacular and unique scenes as shown by this image. When arrived this spot, we were immediately fascinated by this unique zig-zag shape of cascades surrounded by golden leaves. Even more joyful, we had the whole creek to ourselves during the photographing hour.
I really like the comp on this, the water flow draws you right in and lets the eye move through the image, nice way to work with the lower water levels.
