"If we experienced life through the eyes of a child, everything would be magical and extraordinary."
-Akiane Kramarik
I've been working very hard to pull myself away from posing my subjects and try to really just capture life and true emotions, as that's what a picture is all about. I finally had a session where I feel like I pulled this off, as we really didn't succeed in getting 1 single "posed" smile from this girl, yet it has easily become one of my most favorite sessions ever. It's amazing how much a toddler can remind you of the important things in life....
You have a good eye. Who else would have composed as you did in #1? We see the grass as the main subject in the context of being held in the child's hand, without the child becoming the subject. Very unique.
Another one I admire a lot is the left side of the last pictures. I'm not sure the bike shots (very good!) belong together with that one, though. I'm admiring them separately.
What a nice set of images! Very nicely done! As an aside, I rented a 200 f2 and wanted to shoot some photos of a friend's 3-year-old. The adorable little mite would not stop running around. Very hard to chase a toddler with eight pounds of camera gear in your arms. So, I applaud you on these!
