I had a little bad weather last week, so I thought I'd rework some of my bear images from my previous trips to Lake Clark National Park and Preserve in Alaska and put together some of my favorite images.
It is a beautiful place to spend the week enjoying nature and watching these amazing animals. I always love the reactions of the guests when we land on the beach. Those smiles are always a highlight for me. This year we had to circles the Cessna's until a sow and her 3 cubs were done playing on the beach (our landing strip). Travel in Alaska is certainly different than other places.
Matt, those are just wonderful images! The cute factor of the bear cup images is high but I do love the images showing interaction between momma bear and her cubs!

Terrific set Matt! I notice in two of the photos a gull very close to the bears. Is there some sort of symbiotic relationship?

Morris, I like to leave in the gulls to show the scale of the bears. Also, its part of the behaviors of the area. The bears find the clams, eat most of it and then move to the next one. The gulls follow along grabbing the scraps.
