Captured in a cloudy late October afternoon from an overlook in Blue Bridge Parkway. Although it has been quite dry this October in the area and the distant Blue ridges often looked hazy, it was quite a surprise that the clouds that evening were lit on fire by the setting Sun, which helped the epic golden glow over the ridges. Quite a pleasant experience to be on the spot.
I was just there in late October but the colors seemed dull and washed out probably due to the unseasonable warm weather. I took a lot of multiple shots and didn't even come close to this particular shot in beauty. Congratulations on patience and persistence to get the right moment.
On the Blue Ridge often and have never gotten anything close to this nice. Congratulations on your skill and finding the right shot. Definitely voted for it!! Best, Bob
