OK, I'm going to give it another try and post a few more shots from my recent trip to Iceland.
These shots are (hopefully) different than what you've used to seeing from the island. I wanted to capture common places from different angles and find features I'd use in my composition to show a practically limitless beauty of this "raw" land. The ice beach a.k.a. diamond beach is absolutely beautiful. I'd spend a lot more time there if I had it. I included a horse shot because Iceland has hundreds of wild horses running around. To me they are photogenic creatures and this particular is just so unusual being black and having the white mane.
The waterfall shot shows the Hraunfossar fall. The one with the moon and river shows the beginning of the Dettifoss waterfall everyone shots. I did too but the raw jugged flow of the river captured my attention more so I didn't include the actual waterfall in this shot. I like it without it. It was also zoomed in shot, hence the huge moon which looks always huge in Iceland.
By the way, the sunset (or sunrise) lasts close to an hour there. That was so unusual to me. The angle to sun hits such northern part of the world makes the light illuminating the island for a long, long time I guess. So if you miss you sunset or sunrise shot no worries, you'll have plenty of time to still capture it.
This is a very nice set Greg. I especially like 1,2, and 4. They all truly do not look like most captures from Iceland. Would be interesting to see some "street" work from there also.

That first one is just lovely. You got there at the right time for the leaves changing. When we were there the tour guide told us the leaves turned colour and fell off in only a few days.
Good series. I like the tighter crop in that falls, usually you see wider view of this so I like the different angle. My only advice would be bring the luminance back up on the blue channel for the horse photo. The transition from the sky makes the horse look a little too cut out. I think this would be more powerful by really muting that sky a bit more.

Yes, I saw that and ignored it. I didn't think anyone would notice that. Well, you did Yes, it would look less cut out if the sky was brighter. Thanks
These are all truly gorgeous! Number one jumps out, with the dark rocks, brilliant foliage and white water. Would love to know your camera setting on your water images. Iceland is on my list!
