fplstudio: Glad you like 1,2. I think the noise is caused by my method of sharpening and downsampling to post on the web, but I will look. The noise should not be significant given the exposure and 5dsr. But the picture is a blend of hdr and single image and its possible that I got the sharpening wrong - so lots of stuff could have gone wrong. Thanks for the detailed observation. Much appreciated. Scott
DSC01: Glad you like 1,4. I had some great days of hiking and picture taking in getting them. Much appreciated. Scott

The first one for me, beautifully done Scott. Its funny, but the one thing that set the hook on the 1st image, was the texture on the water. I don't know if it is wind or scum, but it really differentiates this one from your other reflection shots. I also like it's softer, less contrasty look.

The texture of the water is caused because I was not getting a perfect reflection because of wind, so I used a 10stop nd filter and averaged the water out over a long reflection. Glad you liked it. It is a "soft" result because the long exposure blurs leaves... Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

All of these images are fantastic, however I think my favorites are #3 and #4.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the dreamy effect that many folks seem to be using on most / all of their images these days. Unless it is actually a foggy, misty morning, I don't think it fits. Also, in the 3rd and 4th images, I wish the shadows were a bit deeper, the HDR effect is a bit too unnatural for my taste. But maybe only by a small, subtle amount. Gorgeous moments and compositions, of course...

Thanks for the detailed comments. I used a long exposure in 1/2 because the wind was blowing and the reflection was not strong without a long exposure. This is all I could get on these ones without having ugly water. But I understand your feedback. I did deepen the shadows on 3,4 but I think 500px is just too small a presentation to be subtle - so my excuse is web presentation. But I hear you. I will play with shadows again at full size. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Tom Nevesely: I am glad you like them all. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Klaus Priebe: I am glad you like the Canada images that I make. That is a pretty high complement. I really appreciate it. The Canadian Rockies are worth many years of effort. Scott
