p.2 #1 · My Fall Catch Up - Vermillion, Opabum, Wedge
Wonderful series. Looks like a complete fall to me.
I love them all.
In the second two, the Tamaracks in the fg do take a slightly different look, but in my experience they tend to do that. I think their fine needles seem hard to hold the true light and contrast. Doesn't detract from the beauty of the images though.

Hey Scott,
#1 is my favorite, I like the look of it. #2 feels muddy in the middle of the photo with an odd glow to it. It doesn't look at all like your shots normally do. With #3 and 4, they feel to have too much of an HDR feel to them. The lighting in both, just doesn't feel natural.
Jim
Glad you like 1. Thanks for the detailed suggestions in 2,3,4. I will take another run at processing them. I think I need to do a refresh of my color profiling. Much appreciated. Scott

1 and 2 are excellent. The foreground reflections, the soft tones and the gentle lines of the background mountains make them killer shots and do not call for the lack of a specific foreground element in the frame.
The only downside that I can think of is the noise slightly above usual landscape shots, maybe sign of important shadow pushing. Dedicated software should be able to clean the image without loosing too much details.

Scott,
Awesome set of images ! They are all really beautiful but #1 and 4 are exceptional. You captured some beaultiful light with captivating compositions. I really enjoyed seeing these. Regards, Dean
