These are very pleasing to the eye. The rich colors but they're not "poppy"... is this a film treatment or just manual desaturation (noticing the colors in the toddler's toys)?

Cheers zeeker it actually depends on the image - the first shot for eg was gelled and flagged pretty specifically; the shot of the barber has a lot going on with curve layers, and the self port was just a full desaturation with a gelled light and reflector giving the skin a better look. I find it renders far nicer with the strobes doing my toning first as opposed to trying to get it in post.

Nice to see such wide dof portrait work. I love the dress in #1. Could want a tiny bit more room for her left shoe and a little more light to see more detail in those shoes. Nice tilt to her neck and warm smile. The other three are more notable to me for their clarity. Might be nice to see #3 in black and white as the colors are a bit on the tepid side. I am not sure his being cropped in the mirror works that well. Again, his foot is cropped. #2 is a nice strong portrait. Good stuff.
