It was the most beautiful and hot summer night at the Trona Pinnacles near Ridgecrest, CA, when I visited for the first time last June.
I felt like lying down and staring all those sparkling stars forever and dreaming those aliens coming down via spaceship!
However, my camera wanted to record the whole milky way for the memory.
This final image was the culmination of about 13 vertical shots stitched together.
Thanks for watching!
(I posted one pano set from this area before, but here is another set with somewhat different frame.)
Beautiful image, Kee. These place has been on my bucket list for some time. After seeing your image, am planning to get there sooner rather than later.

Thanks Fred and Rodger for the comments and feedback.!
Love the composition, just a couple comments: you can see where it was stitched on the bottom and the sky seems a little over processed. Can I ask what your camera settings were for the shots? Also, what did you use to stitch the shots?

Well.. I have not noticed where the stitch was done. I will check that more in detail. As for the sky, I tried not to overdo the processing. Actually everywhere, I tired to minimize the processing. All the camera settings are listed below the image. I used Adobe Camera Raw to do the stitching. It was rather smooth without any glitches.
Thank you Devon for your feedback and comment. I am glad you like the composition.

** Devon, if you think that the stitching is where the mountain/large tufa on the left side.. there is a small black stick like feature below them.. then I should let you know that it is actually a small post stick that I know of, there.. **
