May I ask what program you use to stitch? I recently attempted a milky way vertical pano and Photoshop couldn't do it.

I used Adobe Photoshop’s Camera Raw to stitch photos into a panorama. The more overlap you use, the more success in getting the pano image you need. Good luck!
