Thanks Fred. I ordered the rings from Amazon via the vendor in your link and finally received them today. Works well and no more rattle in my lens. I do wish there were another vendor though. I specified expedited shipping (big mistake) and was charged $30 and it took 10 days to to get the rings. Vendor UXCELL is in HK, but rings shipped from Bahrain to London (UK) to NYC to Cincinnati to Rochester and finally via DHL courier to Ithaca, NY.
Hi, have anyone has any suggestion for Voigtlander 15mm 4.5 version 2 ? I have searched but found nothing yet, I also try to calculate the appropriate front filter but the lack of information make it's impossible.

Anyone have thoughts/tips how to better center/align the PCX in the holder? Mine has less than 1mm of play, but seems to be affecting performance. Checked the bare lens (G28) with and without filter and it’s clearly getting worse with the filter. Thoughts appreciated.

I ordered the gaskets from Amazon but just can't figure out how to use one to center the PCX for use with the G28. I'm using 46->55 step-up, 55->52 step-down, and 52-55 step-up rings. The gasket is too large to fit inside the 55->52 step-down ring so I trimmed a little bit off. But the gasket is 2mm thick which leaves only 48mm into which the 50mm diameter PCX filter is supposed to fit. What am I getting wrong? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Are you sure that you have the correct O ring size? UXCELL also sells a 54x2.4 mm ring which will not fit. Make sure that you have the 54x2.0 mm rings. If you do then first screw the 46-55 step up onto the lens, put one O ring into the adapter on the lens (it should fit easily), center the 50mm PCX lens, convex side down, onto the O ring, screw on the 55-52 adapter, and finally screw on the 52-55 adapter ring. I screwed the 52-55 ring into the 55-52 step down ring first to get a better grip when attaching to the 46-55. There will be some compression of the O ring and it takes a bit of force when screwing down the rings.

i just cut 3 small pieces off a rubber band and put them roughly equidistant apart around the outside edge of the pcx filter inside the filter ring to center it.

Scho, I was following the instructions for the G28 and PCX1500 in the article on Phillip Reeve's site (Rangefinder Wide Angle Lenses on A7 Cameras: Problems and Solutions): "Attach 46-55mm step up, 55-52mm step down, put the 1.5m lens into the 52mm thread and clamp it with 52-55mm stepup adapter."
As soon as I read your suggestion to place the O-ring into the 46->55mm step-up ring instead, I realized why I hadn't been able to get it to fit. Your instructions worked perfectly. Thank you!
(Derek, I'd tried the rubber band method and, while it was OK, I was never confident that the PCX was perfectly centered.)
did anybody tried Hawks adapter with Ultron 35mm and optosigma lens? Can focus at infinity be achieved?
I have ordered it a month ago but it did not came finally. I live in Europe and before reordering and waiting I would like to know if it really works
Is TAP maybe a better way to go?
Regards and thanks in advance
Yes, I've tried two Hawks and it's not possible, even adjusting infinity on the adapter. So, unfortunately, with the Hawks, you won't be able to reach infinity when using the 35/1.7 Ultron + 5m front lens.
Your best bet is getting an 'out-of-spec' cheap adapter and hope it will be short enough to allow the lens to focus at infinity.
Was looking for the modiffication details and did not find them. already bought 5 adaptors none of them working. I ordered hawks mainly because of this. if TAP works... maybe worth trying.

A lot of older Leica lenses have a shim between the Lens grouping and the helicoid that sits in front of the helicoid. Perhaps a system like that is used by Cosina for lenses without floating groups.

I purchased 3 of these adapters and 2 of them let me focus at infinity with the 35/1.7 Ultron + 5m PCX. (with some wiggle room) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WLR536L/
I'm not sure if you get one in Germany though.
K&F have been replacing many of their adapters with new models which are really very nicely engineered. (I got the new Pentax to Sony one which has lovely chroned brass connections, excellent milling and matting inside, and a large and clicked aperture ring which is as good as a rayqual. And it’s exactly on spec for infinity focus with the Pentax Ltd macro I got it for (that’s another story, but if you want a moderate wide macro to give a more involved look to botanical images, the Pentax 35 works fine on full frame in the macro range, despite being APS)
But this may be bad news fir modifiers.....I think new K&F are less likely to be too short!

Still, I purchased 3 of their new ones from Amazon and two of them were short, which for my purposes was a good thing.
I have an extra 'short one' which allows for 35/1.7 + 5m infinity focusing if someone needs it.
