One of my favorite subject to photograph is the bald eagles. They are a challenge, but so rewarding when it all comes together. I’ve been going up to Alaska for years each November as I host a workshop and stick around a bit on either side to photograph myself and enjoy the beauty of the area.
These are some great shots of Alaska Eagles at Haines. It is hard to pick one that is the best though I do like the one on the limb with the moon. Was the bear out in November? - Barry
Thanks Barry. The bears are normally heading into hibernation around that time, however I normally see some running around the 1st week of November. It just depends how cold it is. I've seen them as late as the 3rd week of November in past yearsbarrye wrote:

Beautiful shots Matt. I like the way you photograph wildlife, looking at your web site every shot was special in its own way.
Not one "postcard looking shot in the bunch" and that in itself is rare. It's easy to see you love what your doing and strive to present the viewer with what you were feeling when the shot was taken.
Thank you for the kind words. I do love photographing wildlife, or just spending my day on the river watching these beautiful birds.
