p.1 #1 · Aerial Snowscapes from the Canadian Cascades
After days of planning and studying the weather to make sure that I get some cloud cover over these mountains, I finally made up my mind on the day to book my flight in a helicopter over the Canadian part of the Cascade mountain range in the Pacific Northwest. It was a cold day, but it got a lot lot colder once we got above 600m above sea level. The fact that it was a door-less flight was kinda terrifying but once I looked through my camera's view finder everything calmed down. The challenging part was flight time. For what I had paid the pilot, I would get roughly 15 mins of flight time in the area. Which means scenes that were gone as we passed over them, needed to be composed correctly and shot correctly the first time, because well there's no second chance as I didn't wanna break my bank

Beautiful images, and wonderful processing on them! Images two and three are my favorites. I think you did great!

Thank you Keith. I think three is my personal favorite too, I enjoyed the "z" showing through in the composition. Also I barely had a second to compose this one, as the helicopter was zooming past that mountain, So it's more of a reaction shot.

These are stunning. Number two is really special, I keep going back to it, but I agree that number three is also very nice.
Thanks for sharing.
(And I'll add that you should have a lot more comments.)
Thanks for your words of appreciation!

I'll dare to be different: #1 is my favorite. Have you done much aerial photography?
Thank you Monika. Yes I have done a fair bit of aerial work. Mostly have been shooting from aircrafts but I just got myself a drone a couple of months back and have been on a learning curve to do some decent work with it too.
