Here's a mating video and some still shots of a nesting pair of peregrine falcons. This is the first sampler. All of the mating shots and video were taken remotely with the Camranger, 7d ii, the original 500 f4 and a Sennheiser MKE-400 microphone. I was completely out of sight of the birds, as I was in a blind about 30 feet away from the gear, shooting from an iPad air 2 screen.
That is more than courtship my friend! Excelent video and your photos are top notch as well Herb. The last is a wonderful Portrait with an interesting reflection in the eyes.

Thanks Morris. That would be the skyward view of the cliff scape from his vantage.
It is fascinating to see in the video how the male curls his claws out of the way, resting on his "wrists" as it were so as to not hurt the female.
Were you on the side of the mountain above the bird? Great vantage point, getting the level or downward view, as opposed to shooting upwards into the sky.
Very well done series. Perfect light. Very sharp. Nice angle and composition. Well caught action. Beautiful bokeh background. I am impressed by the fine quality of the video. Your "sampler" has whetted my interest for the next course
