Here's another new one from a recent weekend spent out on Mount Rainier. This was the first sunset of my few days there, and I was thrilled when some clouds appeared out of nowhere over the mountain just as the sun went down.
I'd love to get your feedback on this one. Thanks!

I know that area well, it's one of my favorite areas there. You did well with this. Not sure I can suggest anything to improve it, you nailed it with the sun, the flowers and the clouds.

Thank you very much, Jim! I appreciate your comments.
I keep tinkering with this one, but I'm pretty happy with where it ended up. However, i'm definitely willing to consider any further processing advice anyone might have.

I agree, really well done Kris. Is this one image or stacked? I assume the sun must be HDR, but I was wondering about the focus.
Thanks, Dale! I used 6 images for this one. There are four from front to back for focus (maybe overkill, but I wanted to ensure it was sharp), not including the sky. I used two more for the sky, since it was much brighter - one main one for most of it and one very underexposed one that I just blended in around the sun. All exposures were manually blended with layer masks.
Love the shot, not much to critique at all! I love that the starburst of the sun doesn't have insanely long beams that go all the way through the photo, IMO that kinda ruins it sometimes. The light is great overall, the dynamic range is well managed and not at all HDR-ish. If anything, I'd say that the horizon is a bit centered, I might have enjoyed a slight, slight downward tilt to the camera overall.

Awesome shot. Really would have loved some wild flowers while I was at Rainer earlier this year.
Thanks, Devon! I was fortunate to make it out there during the wildflower bloom for this one long weekend, but I wish I had more time there myself.

Thanks for your comments! I'm glad to hear you like the processing. The horizon is indeed a bit centered, but I thought it might work for this particular composition. Looking back, I was also in a bit of a rush to get this comp set up before the sun dipped below the horizon, so I didn't have much time to experiment with different comps.

Awesome, well executed. Sell it to the State of Washington/Tourism Division,
Best of luck.
Thanks for the suggestion!
