Just got my ZM 85 f4 and working perfect I set it for a 90mm

So in my head

35mm - camera f 22
85mm- camera f29

So I could on lens changes make the Exif changes pretty easily

Just received my Leitz 50 F2 and with the techart the autofocus is speedy and spot on. Very light, great build, and so far, loving the rendering. So lovely. Love the built in metal hood. Very well may be my go to 50 from now on.

Using the TAP with a Nikon-mount Rokinon 85mm F1.4 today.
Seems to have trouble locking or finding focus in situations that seem high contrast to me, but sometimes the lens just hunts past focus, or fails to move towards a focal point at all.

Probably fails to provide a focus lock 20% +/- of the time, even when I MF the lens first
Tried on AFS and AFC (stationary objects).

I wonder if it's a camera setting, the photographic context, or the way I'm using it.

A local shop has a ZM 35 1.4. I think I might stick it on the techart, take a few shots and see if that wow factor everyone talks about is so profound that it is worth dealing with the M to E mount "shenanigans" as a poster put it. if it is, could it be (mated with the techart) the only 35 you'll really ever need? The FE 35 2.8 is so light, I could see always having it with me if I ever wanted shenanigans free alternative. I could see traveling with the ZM 35 1.4 and transitioning right into evening seamlessly, which for that beautiful character coupled with autofocus could make dealing with its size and weight (for an M lens) + shenanigans totally worth it.

Just got back from a week in the high eastern sierra with the FE 16-35 and the c/y 35-70, and I was pretty blown away by what I was able to get away with with the A7RII's stabilization hand held. Spending time at the Mountain Light Gallery really puts things in perspective. What an incredible period to be a photographer. Inspiration like Galen, with tools like the A7RII and the techart. Wow.

I need to do that too. I forget too often and change lenses all the time.

TechArt Pro needs to be more responsive than that.
Over at GetDPI Bart de Vries alias Knorp got in touch with them and AFAIK didn't hear back.
When the adapter was first available I sent them a couple of emails asking when my adapter would ship.
It took awhile but eventually I got an email from them answering my question.
My adapter arrived accordingly in April.

My experience dealing with smaller companies in China and HK is that communication beyond the selling phase is patchy at best. I don't really blame them: they have few staff, and running close to the edge, and they need to find competent English speakers to deal with issues from folks like me that don't write Chinese.

It's not customer service as some of us have come to expect. But I factor it in to my expectations. I've ordered a TechArt and am looking forward to it. But will they be around to provide service and upgrades in a few years, and will they be responsive to 'civilians' like you and me? Maybe; but I'm not relying on it.

EDIT. Bite my tongue! They replied in this thread! Well done TechArt!

1.) Is it possible to use it on an A7Rii with mounted RRS L-Plate?
2.) Does the adapter need to be flocked?

On my Sunway L bracket I had to grind down the very front of the horizontal plate as the TAP was hitting it upon putting the adapter on the body. Than I used rubber pads between body and plate to be able to get it past the TAP bottom to use my arca clamp on the tripod. So I had two things to do for it to work. On the RRS plate it just depends if that bottom plate comes to the front of the body.

Yes noticed that to in very high contrast situations, both with the M adapter(Nikon 50, 85mm lenses) and also with my AF contax G Techart adapter(90mm G lens) focus is very difficult to obtain. Would have thought that in bright sun with very high contrast AF would be best, but seems that it's very poor. Note that this would be a somewhat rare situation. Happens when I try to do portraits/group photos in bright sun(with fill flash).

Remember focus is best achieved on vertical lines and not horizontal. Always look for a vertical contrast spot to get the best focus. This really is how Sonys work best
