Yup, After getting the lens from PixPro House I settled down at 'The Game' (underneath Nana) for lunch and to do some shooting with the new toy :-)
I think that makes us neighbors b/c I am on Soi 13.
Hah, I also picked up my lens from PixPro House (Sapan Kwai branch). I am on Soi 8 I scuba dive once in awhile with Khun Waran so I let him take care of all my Nikon's need pretty much!

While the 58mm f1.4 has a very nice soft rendering I just found it to soft for my liking wide open.
The 105 f1.4 seams much sharper more like the 85mm f1.4 then the 58 f1.4 from the image I have seen. Am I coming to the right conclusion?
Also has any once tried the 105 f1.4 for like landscapes at infinity?
As far as I recall, the 85mm AF-S at f1.4 was not as sharp as the 105mm f1.4 at f1.4. It was for sure also a lot more challenging to focus accurately at f1.4.

I picked mine up from there also. I have been hassling them since the lens was announced and Nikon Thailand pointed me in their direction.
A few more grab shots with the lens. I am taking off for Vietnam, Malaysia and Burma tomorrow so I hope to get some more impressive shots soon. I really am loving this lens!
All wide open except the last where I stopped down for greater DoF
EDIT: Stopped down to F2

Both the above two posts show pictures which would have been better done on the 58G. I'm now less convinced than ever that this lens is a 58G beater. It's more like a slightly sharper and less CA prone version of the 85G. The bokeh in the shot with the girl and dog is not really that smooth.
