Just a couple of head shots from the camera store today. Artificial lights. Window light for the fill. I don't have kids, so this is what I got at the store as I was waiting for the traffic to ease. Not as cool as Dj R, but ......
Man, these samples look good. Is there anything to Angry Photographer's belly aching about micro contrast? by the 105 DC and 105 1.4E comparisons, contrast looked about the same to me, I didn't see this lack of micro contrast, but i'm a noob.
So.... Are any of you planning on buying a UV filter for the 105? I was thinking of buying the Zeiss T* filter for mine. $135 at B&H. Just a curious question.

Can't afford it now... So until then, I'll start a thread bashing the lack of acuity, microcontrast and rendering of this plasticky overpriced lens *goes back to his good old chubby & 58 1.4*
I just ordered the Zeiss T* 82mm UV filter! Excellent quality, I want to keep that front element safe. I almost hit the front of the lens on a sharp desk corner today at precision camera. Got mine at B&H. UV filters used to never be my thing. I never wanted to use them until I got my Zeiss Milvus 50 & 85, now this 105.
