Charles, I love the way the sun reflection glows in the top right of the first image. It really does an amazing job of mirroring her red hair!

Me too. It's the lens I want to shoot with all the time but I'm guilty of forcing the perspective when it's not there sometimes.

Step up/down rings are cheap.

I'm happy to report that 82-77 step down filters work just fine with the lens. I put my 77mm 3 stop ND filter and the results were very good. There was some minor vignette in the corners, but it was easily fixable in Lightroom.
