What beauties! Thanks for introducing me to this stunning bird. I just returned from my second trip to Svalbard and on the way I again spent time with Ole Martin Dahle in Flatanger (north of Trondheim) photographing White Tail Eagles and Arctic Skua. After seeing your pictures, it looks like I'm going to have to plan a third trip there! Did you use any of the Biotope hides or work with their guides?

Hi Catherine
Thanks for the reply. We did not use any of the Biotope hides which are mainly designed for bird watching. I know someone who works at Biotope so we called in for a coffee while we were there and went through some maps with them. Their new book was also useful. If you are thinking of going send me a message and I will hwlp you out with some info.
I can only hope to one day make a trip to see this remarkable species, truly beautiful birds, thanks for sharing, they are equally beautiful portraits of them- excellent work.
