To Dragonfly,
Is there a way to get in without spyware? It is telling me to get the full benefit I have to install GAIN software to enter the site. GAIN software is one of the hardest spyware to uninstall. I love to read forums and such, but without spyware. It might just be a tracker trying to get me to install it.
I just try to be careful about my reflection by shootng off to the sides, high or low and tight. Often I hide my reflection 'behind' the person I am shooting or I will get behind another piece of equipment. And with the strobes, I move them a little further out, also keeping them out of the frame and more parallel to the subject.
The gym in the above photo is difficult becuase it is mirrored and all walls . And yes I carry a roll of black seamless and gaffers tape with me in case I do want to just cover a section.
Thanks to this thread and all those who have been posting here, I am now a proud owner of,
220V B1600 AlienBees B1600-220 V Deep Space Black B1600 x2
220V B800 AlienBees B800-220 V Deep Space Black B800 x2
RR1PACK Wireless Remote Package x1
22R/DS22R 22-inch Pan Reflector with optional diffusion sock x1
LB1 Boom Arm Attachment x1
CB1 AlienBees Carrying Bag x4
FT10MM 10mm Flashtube x2
FT12MM 12mm Flashtube x2
HG4X Four Honeycomb Grids x1

LS3900 13-foot Heavy Duty Stand x3
OB47 47” Octabox (with LGSR) x1
SB3060 Giant Softbox (with LGSR) x1
Now you can go spend even more money; just go buy a weighted bag for each light stand so they won't fall over and break something. There is always a way to spend more money even on simple things.
Oops...
So, did you buy this package off Ebay or someplace and didn't notice the 220v part?
I have almost been burnt a few times buying from Ebay...luckily I was able to figure a way out of it. Recently I was looking for a cheap strobe kit, In the mix of looking at a ton of them, I came across one set that was 200ws as opposed to the 110ws strobes in most of the kits. I jumped on the BUY IT NOW only to later realize that these were HOT LIGHTS that just looked like strobes...200watts, not watt seconds. I contacted the seller and we agreed that I could have one of his strobe packages instead. Lucky for me he had strobes to substitute, and lucky I noticed.
Anyway...sorry to hear that...maybe there is some sort of converter you can get
No no I got knew what I was going for I needed it to be 220v cause I plan to shoot mostly overseas. So for back here I will need to get a step up transformer. But ultimately I think I would like to setup a studio in Asia.
Check out http://www.adorama.com/PFWB.html?searchinfo=photoflex%20weight&item_no=1 as a better option than sandbags. These are what I use, since my entire kit needs to be able to travel pretty easily as well. They store flat and empty, then you fill them with either sand or water once you're on-site, then empty them again when you're done shooting. I just hang 'em from the ends of my booms or off the back leg of light stands.

Hey, I just ordered that yesterday from Canoga Camera. $12... great price! (...and about $6 less expensive then B&H.)
I use light stands, booms. clamps etc. Get a print catalog from Calumet (ww.calumetphoto.com) and check the lighting suppliers equipment websites for ideas like PhotoFlex.
