My friend and fellow photographer was here visiting the other day and I took the opportunity to do a portrait of her and her 2 girls. They just bought a new house and she needs to start decorating her walls. This was shot using the 5D Mark III, 85L, and natural light.

Thank you!! It's a garage with an open door, and the bottom 3+ feet blocked off with black fabric to prevent uplighting from the sun reflecting off the driveway.

I actually really the composition Marcelo. I like the neg space to the left. The girl on the right facing in keeps the eye for moving out of the frame and the composition is not the way most would compose it. Thats a very good thing. I usually do not tell people how to crop (unless it's something that is really egregious) or compose because as Weston stated:
"so called “composition” becomes a personal thing, to be developed along with technique, as a personal way of seeing." - Edward Weston
Also to Chas I think you got it backwards, when strobe or artificial light looks as good as natural north window light(northern hemisphere). A few of my favorite portrait photographers like Penn and Hauser went through a lot of trouble to make their studio light resemble north window light.
I am a big fan of Lisa's straight forward portraits and her ability to SEE light. It's something a lot of photographers today can't do. They can't see light.
In the days before strobes, photography studios would have the entire north walls of their studios (again, northern hemisphere) glass to use that wonderful soft light. Many great portrait photographers go through great links to imitate that light with artificial light and/or strobes and modifiers. If you have it, you as a photographer can see it, I say use it before turning to artificial sources because it's the real deal and what many greats try to create.

Great processing Lisa. I agree with Marcelo's comments. Still, a good shot. For an available light pic in the "studio / garage" you nailed it. Then again, I like your work.

RE the crop, I tried many different ones. I sent my friend a copy with lots of background on either side so she can crop how she wants when she gets it printed, but I found this one to be the most interesting (to my eye). Thank you again for all of the comments.
