Shot some vintage pinup style stuff with a friend of mine. I really liked the way these turned out. Shot with my Nikon gear obviously, for lighting I used my three interfit S1's. For modifiers I used their 40" beauty dish's, and their reflector. It was a good time!
1 & 2 are marred by the reflection of your strobe or flash around the gas cap, easily burned in post. The dirt on the doorsilll catches my eye, as does the hotspot on the floor near her left foot.
I'd like to see the third image without the wide-angle distortion. The pose is awkward, especially her right leg exaggerated in size and extended.
In the 4th image, the tire sidewall is too hot (also easily burned in post), the reflection on the fender needs to go away, and the shadow of the umbrella or softbox is too identifiable.
Are harsh as that critique sounds, I really admire your work here. The model and her outfit are cute.
I like 1, 2 and 4...number 3 seems very posed and uncomfortable...a clash of old and new. Number 1 hits the mark...any thoughts to test a softer b/w edit and then clean up a few hot spots? Also, her tummy is too hot in number 2. Nice work.
